Psalms 31

I was looking for Proverbs 31… “she laughs without fear of the future” and I unintentionally turned to Psalms 31 instead.

“I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul.

You have not handed me over to my enemies but have set me in a safe place.” Psalms 31:7-8

You care about the anguish of my soul… thank you Lord for caring for me.

Cancer has a way of doing that, waking me up in the middle of the night and worrying endlessly. It never ends, the worry that just lingers in the background of every thought and decision. The Lord knows how to put Satan in his rightful place, out of my mind. When I woke up tonight worrying, I read this. Thank you Lord for your truth when my mind wants to tell me otherwise. I won’t allow it.

Not today, Satan.

Ps. Please go listen to Hillsong United’s new song Not Today, it’s been on my Spotify repeat lately.
