A few of my favorite things.

Because I need something to write about (and think about for that matter) other than cancer and because it’s fun, well I think so anyway.

A few of my favorite things, in case you’re in the market too.

Podcast – On Being by Krista Tippett. It’s so good! On the serious side of good, but worth a listen. I’m currently all about some podcasts and have many favorites, but this is my new favorite.

Shorts – J.Crew Factory (aka outlet) 3 inch Boardwalk shorts (elastic waistband!!!) I don’t do shorts… let me repeat, I don’t wear shorts. Ever. Until I found these after I had John two years ago. The regular J.Crew tried to repeat the same style and failed 2 years ago, but the outlet style just keeps coming back with them and they’re amazing. I’m now a wearer of shorts. They’re typically around $15-17. You’re welcome.

Book – The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. Ok so I love a good fiction or non-fiction book and this one is a little bit of both. Reading is my thing… aside from my new obsession with listening to podcasts. My friend, aka head of book club who picks out  all the books friend, picked out last month’s book and I was a little hesitant at first and sometimes I quit a book when I’m uninterested. I’m SO glad I didn’t! It’s a little bit history, a little heart-wrenching, and a little bit weird at some points, but totally worth the read. I never would have picked it out myself, but I’m glad Catherine picked it! And because I read so much a cute fiction book I’ve read recently was Dear Mr Knightley… get through the 1st 100 pages please and currently going through Beth Moore’s Entrusted bible study. Need a new bible study? Never done one by Mrs. Beth? Just commit and do this study. It’s a huge time commitment for a bible study, hers always are, but you won’t be disappointed. You’ll learn so much and never be the same. ❤️

Makeup – Lipstick by BeautyCounter… Gloss-  Fig color and Sheer Lipstick – Twig color. Two best lipsticks I’ve used in awhile and the ingredients are 100% safe!
